One-family house for a family with two children is designed into the narrow lot with east-west orientation in the village Újezd nad Lesy.

The house reacts to the local control by the traditional form with the saddle roof processed in a modern way. The length and depth of the building is determined by the shape of the lot and building program. The building´s setback from the street line is done so that the viewpoints are headed to the surrounding green. Object of the garage is pushed forward to the street.

The design of the building is based on the combination of grey walls, the volume of the house sheathed with the horizontal timber profiles is included in between them.

The house is releasing a place for garden on the south part of the house by situation of the building in minimum clearance from the northern edge of the lot. Windows oriented to the neighbour´s garden are partially covered with timber lamellas of the lining. The ground floor is divided by the entrance part into the living (living room, kitchen, dining room) and technical wing. The linkage between the ground and the first floor is provided by the single-arm lengthwise-oriented staircase. Particular rooms and common bathroom are accessible from the staircase hall. Maximum connection of the interior with the exterior provides large glazing downstairs and large-scale horizontal windows upstairs.
